- Hop on a trip to Chiayi from Taipei (i.e. THSR Train 0203 6:30AM to 7:45AM)
- Catch the shuttle bus from the Chiayi THSR to TRA station at roughly 8:05AM.
- Take 9AM Alishan Forest Railway train.
- Arrive in Fenqihu at 11:20AM.
- Take 12:50 bus from Fenqihu to Alishan.
- Arrive in Alishan at 2PM.

How do you get from Chiayi to Alishan?
The easiest way to travel to Alishan from Chiayi is by taking the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Bus 7322. The Chiayi Bus Station is outside of the main entrance of Chiayi Main Station. The journey takes about 2 hours or so where the last hour will be on a windy mountain road.
