Can you run Di2 externally?
For Shimano external wiring, you simply run the Di2 wires along the outside of the frame and lightly tape them in place initially. You mount Junction B with a screw into the threaded hole under the bottom bracket shell for the shift cable guide.

I was able to do so without removing the bottom bracket. I installed an internal junction “B” box at the bottom bracket area and used the EW-RS 910 Junction “A” in the handlebar end. I also upgraded my 2016 TCR Pro to Di2. I took the bottom bracket out though to install it.

Do all frames support internal Di2 wiring?
Not all frames support internal Di2 wiring, even if they do allow internal mechanical cables. While Di2 electric wires are smaller (2mm) than mechanical cables and cable housing, the Di2 connectors are slightly larger (5mm diameter) than the holes/cable stops in most frames.
Is this Shimano E-tube wire any good?
Shimano’s e-tube wires work flawlessly. After a few Di2 set ups over the past couple years I have had zero issues. Durable wire!! It’s the only wire you can get for connecting di2 components, but the quality is there, great and very durable. Purchased this to connect the D-Fly until to the rear derailleur. it is a little long.

There are three wires that connect Junction B and the other components. Wire F runs to the battery, H to the rear derailleur and the last wire ( G) connects the front derailleur.
